Certified Organic

Free of synthetic additives, all of The Standrd’s products are certified organic, meaning that agriculture is free of pesticides, chemicals, dyes and untouched by industrial solvents in processing.

GMP Certified

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards and minimizes the risks involved in production that cannot be eliminated through testing the final product.

NON-GMO

The Standrd’s products are guaranteed to be natural and not genetically modified organisms (GMOs) engineered in a laboratory which pose potential environmental and personal risks.

Zero THC

THC or tetrahydrocannabinol is the psychoactive aspect of marijuana. Zero THC means that there is no residual trace of THC present in the CBD product.

USA Grown, Processed & Tested

Agriculture imported from foreign countries carries inherent risk. Regulations and practices differ from those in the United States. Crops grown in the U.S. are held to strict guidelines.

Non-psychoactive

A psychoactive chemical is one which changes brain function chiefly altering mood, perception, conciousness, or behavior. Because hemp products and CBD do NOT contain THC, they are non-psychoactive.

100% Legal in 50 States

Under the 2014 Federal Farm bill, the cultivation of hemp (not to be confused with marijuana) is legal to import, purchase, and use as a dietary supplement across the U.S. and in over 40 countries.

Products

THE STANDRD’S CBD and Hemp Oil products are offered in several wholesale forms:

USA Organic Full Spectrum 5%-99.9% CBDa/Paste Oil

Premier-grade, certified organic, U.S.A. grown, hemp-derived Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) is a wholesale precursor to CBD. Derived from the  chemical compound found in the resin glands of hemp plants, CBDA is the raw form of the molecule, cannabidiol (CBD) often referred to as "inactive". The process of converting CBDA to CBD is called decarboxylation. With heat the acid degrades and the resulting compound is “activated” CBD.

Full spectrum denotes beneficial phyto-cannabinoids retained for complete endocannabinoid support. Third-party tested for purity and potency, Certificate of Analysis and samples available now.

1-50 liters raw CBDa oil / 51-150 liters raw CBDa oil  / 151-1000 liters raw CBDa oil / 1001-10,000 liters raw CBDa oil / 10,001-150,000 plus liters raw CBDa oil / 1 gallon raw CBDa oil (3.78541 liters) / 1 Drum raw CBDa oil (208 liters)

USA Organic Full Spectrum 15%-99.9% CBD Powder

Water Soluble 99.9% CBD Isolate

Premier-grade, certified organic, U.S.A. grown, hemp-derived water-soluble CBD isolate. Derived from the chemical compound found in the resin glands of hemp plants, and processed to pure CBD (cannabidiol) formulated to dissolve in water.

Water-soluble form enhances the deliverability and bio-absorption of CBD and provides a potent, consistent result at great price per milligram of CBD.

Distributes evenly in water and other product formulations.

Starting with a naturally cannabinoid rich hemp material, we employ the best CO2 extraction process available through a proprietary process which removes unnecessary plant material. Isolate is further refined to 99.9% pure CBD (cannabidiol) and rendered through an emulsion process to create a water-soluble form.

Because oil and water don’t mix, water soluble forms are better absorbed through the digestive system so dosing is more consistent.

WHAT ARE THE PHYSICAL BENEFITS OF cbd AND HEMP OIL?

As CBD and hemp oil have not been classified and approved by the FDA as a treatment or cure for any diease, The Standrd cannot make any medical claims related to the benefits of CBD in any form.

We recommend that you research clinical studies and the history of the use of CBD, cannabidiol, hemp oil and the myriad of other cannabinoids available as phytochemical compounds derived from hemp.

Cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), a system of receptors in the nervous system of mammals. The ECB system is involved in the regulation of biological processes such as inflammation response, sleeping, appetite, and relaxation.

and a word from our founder

“Our mission has been to bring consistency and dependability to a new and exploding market that is CBD. Whether full-spectrum, isolate, oil or otherwise, there are undeniably amazing uses for this supercrop. More people in the mainstream are learning about the superfood we’ve been missing in our daily lives during the generations where hemp was inadvertently banned due its association with psychoactive materials. The word is out now and it’s spreading like wildfire. Partnerships with integrity is how we will all win. We seek to broaden the global education on the human endocannabinoid system and the role of beneficial cannabinoids. And then we just want to bring the best, most well-tested, most reliable, best priced, raw materials to our partners with 100% integrity. Join us in making history. It’s not easy to be the first and pave the way for an entire industry, but it is certainly satisfying.”

Dylan P.

in the words of our customers

“I would say that that having the product in stock is key for me. I have ordered from others only to be put on a waiting list- which I can’t afford. And I sleep a lot better at night knowing that the product that I’m using is really what they say it is– it’s grown here [in the U.S] and double verified for content and really every component.”

“There are some real horror stories out there [with hemp product] because things are changing so fast and there aren’t enough suppliers or farms or you can get a batch one time and then not the next. It’s hard to figure out if you could get tainted with pesticides, heavy metals or any contaminent. Just because soemthing says ‘made in the U.S.A.’– it isn’t enough. With The Standrd, I know that they know the U.S. farms, they know the crops, they know the manufacturers, the labs– right down the line. I called to ask about [a product] and it was in inventory instead of a somewhere in a projection.”

“Exceptional proof of quality and the best price– what more can you ask for? I guess that they don’t realize that they are a gold mine. Should I ask for a locked-in price? JK.”

“Thanks for all your hard work and help — you guys are real pros.”

FAQ

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEMP AND MARIJUANA?
Hemp and marijuana are both varieties of the cannabis family. Marijuana is a fussy plant grown in a highly controlled environment. Hemp is a fast and tall grower. In the history of human civilization, hemp is a more common crop than corn or wheat; it is a sustainable source for paper, textiles, building materials and much, much more. Marijuana is not used for its plant fiber but is highly sought for its medicinal properties.

While marijuana is packed with the psychoactive cannabinoid, THC, which provides the infamous “high”, hemp has only trace amounts of THC.

Being completely different cultivars with unique properties, only in recent history has there been confusion on the difference between hemp and marijuana, primarily due to the government’s lumping together of all cannabis cultivars in the Controlled Substance Act of 1970. Recent regulatory amendments have freed hemp from its association as a controlled substance allowing the farming, sale, and use of this prestigious crop.

WHAT IS CBD?
CBD stands for CANNABIDIOL, which is just one of over 80 unique cannabinoid compounds found in the hemp plant.

CBD is rapidly gaining popularity for its unique properties. Unlike the most famous cannabinoid, THC, CBD is non-psychoactive. After thousands of clinical studies, CBD patented by the United States’ National Institutes of Health for its health properties, but has only recently become widely available since the Farm Act in 2014 made growing hemp possible.

CBD is derived from the help plant. Hemp is part of the cannabis sativa L.species, but hemp, and the CBD oil from it, has no psychoactive properties of other cannabis species — meaning you get all the supplemental benefits with no high or side effects.

WHERE DOES CBD COME FROM?
Hemp, the naturally THC-free and tame cousin of marijuana, is a crop that can be processed into goods as diverse as cooking oil, clothing and building material. The consumer and business market is currently in the early adopter stages of the potential for industrial hemp. CBD is a cannabinoid derivative of hemp.
WHAT IS CBD ISOLATE?
CBD crystals, or isolates, represent the purest and most intense CBD product available. With 99 percent purity, these isolates take the form of a powder that is comprised of CBD chemical compounds alone. Isolates are not created in a lab and are not synthetic, but rather all-natural products taken straight from hemp plants. Once extracted, it is further refined and made into the pure substance.
HOW IS CBD ISOLATE MADE?
  • CBD crystals are extracted from commercial-grade quality hemp. Hemp, though similar to the marijuana plant, naturally contains only trace amounts of the psychoactive cannabinoid, THC.
  • First, the oils and resins are extracted from the plant using a CO2 process to maintain the efficacy of the enzymes and other active ingredients in the oil (instead of a heat processing which destroys the subtle essential oil benefits.)
  • A purification process removed excess plant material and waxes. Lipids are separated. Remaining chlorophyll is removed. The end product is a pure flavorless, odorless CBD powder suitable for ingestion or used in a variety of applications, free from natural fungi, molds, mildew, and heavy metals.
WHAT IS FULL SPECTRUM CBD?
On the other end of the spectrum from CBD isolate is a full spectrum hemp oil. Full spectrum denotes that no cannabinoids are removed during the processing of the hemp and therefore, all the the properties of the over 80 cannabinoids are present. The synergistic effect of the whole plant is called the entourage effect.
WILL THE HEAT OF COOKING ALTER CBD OR HEMP OIL?
CBD has a boiling point of between 320 and 356 degrees Fahrenheit, and heating to this temperature can reduce potency.
WHAT IS WATER-SOLUBLE CBD AND HOW IS IT MADE?
Cannabinoids are naturally oily substances and as oil and water don’t mix, CBD is not water-soluble. This affects the uptake of CBD in the body and diminished the effectiveness of the CBD administered. With oils it can be difficult to predict the absorption rate. Water-soluble compounds, on the other hand, dissolve completely in liquids and have almost 100% bioavailability. Making CBD water-soluble means maximium effectiveness and predictable results.

CBD is made water-soluble or more technically, water compatible when they are formulated as micro- or nano-emulsions.

HOW BIG IS THE HEMP INDUSTRY?
Estimates calculate that the total retail value of hemp products sold in the U.S. last year  represent $688 Million in sales with $130 Million specifically attributed to CBD products.
HOW MUCH HEMP IS GROWN ON AN ACRE OF LAND?
In 2017,  23,343 acres of hemp crop were farmed in the United States compared to 9,650 in 2016 and 6,900 in 2014.  Nineteen states now allow hemp farming and 14 more have started legislation. Until 2014, Hemp was not legally grown in the U.S. so it was imported from China, Canada, and Europe.

You’ll be surprised by the history of cannabis and hemp

In fact, hemp is literally woven into the tapestry of human evolution

  • The first recorded use of cannabis as a medicine was in 2,737 BC by Emperor Shen Neng of China. But there is archaeological evidence suggesting that the source plant for CBD, cannabis sativa, was likely one of the first agricultural crops planted by early man. 12,000 years ago. Hemp fibers were used 10,000 years ago for weaving.
  • In the 16th Century, Henry VIII encouraged farmers to plant hemp heavily to provide materials for the British Naval fleet’s battle components such as: sails and riggings. Hemp was also used as a sustainable source or paper.
  • For thousands of years, 90% of ships sails were made from hemp and the word “canvas” comes from the latin word for cannabis.
  • In the colonial United States farmers in Virginia, Massachusetts, and Connecticutt were ordered by law to grow Indian hemp and could serve time in prison if not growing hemp on their private lands. At this time hemp was used as legal tender and one could pay his tax bill in hemp.
  • The founding fathers, including George Washington, grew hemp.
  • Betsy Ross’ flag was made from hemp.
  • The War of 1812 was fought over hemp.
  • Before the cotton gin invention of 1820, 80% of all textiles, clothing, fabric, sheets, and drapes were made from hemp.
  • All schoolbooks in the 1880s were made from hemp.
  • By 1900 Henry Ford had created a biofuel made from hemp at the Iron Mountain facility in Michigan. The Model-T was built to run on hemp fuel and the car was constructed from hemp which was 10 times stonger than steel upon impact.
  • One acre of hemp yields the same amount of paper as 4.1 acres of trees so in 1916, the governement predicted that by 1940 all paper would come from hemp.
  • In 1937 hemp was on pace to be the first billion dollar industry in the world.
  • During prohibition, the tobacco industry launched a smear campaign against marijuana which associated hemp with the psychotropic effect of marijuana. The marijuana Act enacted by Congress in 1937 made the licensing and taxes untenable and production declined. During WWII the war effort rallied for the production of hemp with subsidies and even released a film named “Hemp for Victory” after which one million acres of hemp were grown in the Midwest. After the war, hemp production ceased again. Still, until the 1960s the U.S. Government differentiated between marijuana and hemp until the Controlled Substances Act of 1970 when hemp was classified as a schedule I controlled substance.
  • In 2014 the Farm Bill removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act.
